About Ineza Children's Centre
Ineza Children’s Centre is a non-profit organization (CBO/NGO/School) founded in December 2015 to address the needs of children by providing formal and informal education through:
Activities during school vacations
In order to accomplish these goals, the Directors of the Ineza Children’s Centre have just completed the building of a community center that will house the Ineza Parent’s School in addition to a play center, a library, and large spaces suitable for various other community activities. The land for the center was generously donated by Canon and Mrs. Wilson Baganizi of Kisoro. The Center was locally designed and built. All funding for the project was provided by grants from the Kisoro Children’s Foundation.
The Centre hopes to be able to add more furniture, to obtain more books and support for the library, to build a playground, and to purchase and renovate a building adjacent to the school.
The Centre identifies girls from difficult social circumstances in need of support and provides funding for their secondary school education. Currently 46 girls are being sponsored with full tuition, room, board and supplies. Thirty children are being provided with scholarships to Ineza Parents’ School. The center will also provide emergency support for children who have been abandoned, rejected, or subjected to domestic violence. The funds for these programs currently come from the Kisoro Children’s Foundation.
